Baby Q's first birthday!!!!

So, baby Q had quite a day! He turned one, and it was just so cute! Needless to say, he had an array of emotions, he was happy, sad, happy again, and then sad. I think he was just tired and grumpy. But still it was so cute! Just to remind you this is Marlee my sister's baby.

Our first Dinner party at our house!

Our Father's day dinner was a lot of fun and disastrous all at the same time! Marlee really helped us out, because without her help we would have been doomed. I did not do the best job at planning, but thanks to Marlee's 3 separate stops to the grocery store in one day, we were saved! She first called me to see if she could bring anything, since I had just found out that she was going to be able to make it to dinner (I thought she had to work), so I asked her to grab me a few things. Then she came over to help prepare everything, and she noticed I was out of something. She insisted to go and get it, and asked me if there was anything else I needed. I said no. She goes and comes back, and then right before we are about to eat, we realize we have no butter. I told her we would be fine with out it, but again she insists to go get it. I felt awful cause here this is my third time sending the pregnant girl out into the AZ heat. I felt so bad that we took her and her husband out to dinner the other night as a thank you! In the end it was an adventure and definitely a Father's day to remember!
This is my dad with his only Grandchild. They are so cute together, Q just adores grandpa!
On top of everything, it was Marlee's husband Ed's birthday! Hence the reason for Marlee's desire to make everything perfect. I on the other hand always think every thing is fine the way it is. But it is good for me to learn to be more detail oriented! P.S. if you couldn't tell, we ended up having a ton of food!

Police Concert!

Nate is such a thoughtful guy. When the police tickets went on sale, they sold out in the first fifteen minutes. Nate knew how much my mom loved Sting and wanted to get her tickets for mother's day, and also for Father's day for my dad. So Nate got 4 tickets so we could take my parents to the concert. It was so fun to do something nice for them for a change. They are always so nice and helpful to us! Well we had a good time, the place was packed. I don't know many of their songs, but I love the song Roxanne! We had an awesome time! Thanks Nate!

turn blog into a bounded journel

I thought this was a good idea, I saw this on Carrie's sister in-laws blog, and now I just think blogs are that much cooler.
This site will take your blog postings and make a book. http://www.blurb.com/home/1/
Click on blog books. I think it is similar to those wedding coffee table books that are so in the "wassup" right now.

So, last Wednesday I had so much fun because I was able to hang out with my great friends Laura and Lisa, whom I have'nt seen in forever! We had so much fun going out to dinner. I laughed harder than I have in a long time. We had fun talking about the good ol days. Even back to when we were all in the same ward with eachother. That was about ten years ago.

Here is the three of us. I look like I could eat them! haha! I probably could.

Here is Lisa!

This is Laura's girl tylie! She is a crack up!

I thought this pic was funny, we were trying to take a picture of ourselves, and this is what we got! We we're cracking up! How were we so off?

I love this blog

Ok, so I stumbled one day upon this girls blog, and I love it. She always comes up with the coolest things, and she posts new items every day. She lives in San Fran with her husband. She is a party planner and has done some cool stuff. Here are some pics of ward parties that she planned i think she is the activities director. I can't imagine going to a ward party like this. It's so nice! Enjoy!!

Have you ever heard of this nonsense?

So today while doing my internship for Mountainside, I was sent to get prints off of a digital camera. Well the pictures were of all the group exercise instructors for our bios that we are posting on the wall. We had someones friend (who is an amateur)come and take pics of us with his digital camera, and we set up our own background with a black sheet to look like a backdrop. Well anyways, when I went to pick the photos up an hour later they told me that they couldn't print them because they looked too professional. They said that I needed a release from the photographer. I told them that's ridiculous and that the photo's do not have copyrights, nor is the photographer a pro. So, he made me sign some paper, so he could start my order. Needless to say I didn't feel like waiting around for another hour, so I will have to pick up the pics tomorrow.
The moral of the story is, if you are printing out pics and they look too professional, beware, they might not print them out unless you sign a waver.
