Playing Catch Up - September (part one)

So in September, we started it off by taking advantage of our 3 day weekend. On Labor day weekend, Nate and I road tripped with his family to Utah. We went up to LaPoint, which is where his grandparents live. This is Nate's mom's family, and they couldn't be a nicer bunch. Here we all are together in a group shot This picture shows Kathleen's parents and siblings. I'm not kidding when I say they are just the nicest people in the world!
Here is Grandma and Grandpa Walker. They are so great, they have never failed to send Nate and I birthday cards, anniversary cards, and christmas cards, they are so good at making us feel loved.

3 Generations
We did a lot more than just hang out while we were there. We worked really hard to help them get things done around the house, especially before winter comes. We chopped wood and stacked it for the winter. Of course the boys had their fuel (Mtn. Due)The boys also re-roofed the house. We had a lot of fun while we were up there, the worst part was the drive (I hate driving on long trips) Especially when you are one of the only girls in a large van full of stinky boys. (Now to give you a background, I had no clue I was pregnant on this trip, No wonder the car ride was so bad, my sense of smell was heightened) Now when we got home, On Tuesday morning, I decided to take a pregnancy test, I had a feeling something was different. Nate was in the other room when I took it, I was just stunned when I realized the test had shown positive. I ran into the other room and told Nate, my heart was beating so fast and hard he could feel it when he hugged me. It was a really cool moment. And we are so so so excited.
Ok Onto the rest of September...
I helped throw Miss Heather a baby shower. If I do say so myself I thought it was great! So, excusse me while I brag a little.
First, here is Carrie, Heather, Jen and I. I felt like a giant next to Jen and Heather. Here is a group of girls from the party I like this shot of Heather's tummy, Did she swallow a basketball or something? Ok, this was a funny story, I was making the cupcakes the night before and when I was mixing the frosting I forgot to do the wet ingredients first, so as I was mixing p. sugar was flying everywhere. Carrie had the idea to just put a towel over it to keep the sugar from flying. Well...That didn't work out too well, but it cracked us up.After all of our hard preparation, the food was delicious and everything looked so cute. I'm getting hungry again just looking at this stuff. I'm totally having a pregnancy craving as I write this.

Playing Catch Up- August 2008

I have gotten really behind on my blogging as many of you already have realized that. One of my New Years goals is to do better. I've debated a lot on catching up to date or just starting fresh for the new year, and as I went through the 600 pics that I've taken from August still now, I decided I would just do a brief catch up. So the next few posts will all be catching up. Starting with August. Nate's 30th birthday was on the 25th. At this time, we did not know I was pregnant, so do not try to look at my belly just yet. Those will come soon.

I through a little surprise party for Nate. Here he is blowing out one of his favorites, Bananas Foster

We got a picture of Nate with the guys

And then of course we got one of us girls. At the time we were all lauging, because I was practically the only girl there that was not pregnant. Heather thought she would include me by putting her hand on my tummy, little did we know, I was actually pregnant with the rest of them.

Nate's best friend Beave and his pregnant wife Kayla came also

TC, Des, Raylee and Nate

My mom and Dad took Nate out to Dinner a few times for his birthday

The Sushi chef made nate a little orange mouse.
Ryan and Nate Nate's the big 3 OHappy Birthday! I love you!

It's a.............

YEAH!!!!!!!!!! We finally know what we are having!!!!! Before I disclose the sex of our baby, I thought I would explain the picture below. When we woke up Monday morning to go to the ultra sound, Nate picked out two ties one pink and one blue. I guess he told his work that whichever tie he was wearing when he came in to work would signify whether the baby was a boy or a girl.
I thought it was such a cute idea.

So what color did he end up wearing you ask... BLUE!!!!

We are definately having a BOY, and we are so excited! Oh, and for the record, I have known from day one that this was a boy. Mother's instinct maybe?

Here is Baby Boy Wright's big debut. Boy Parts and all!!!!

Sorry if that is too graphic for you. But, at least we have no doubt that it's a boy!!!!

By the way...

In the midst of my blog neglect I have neglected to make a little blog announcement. I kind of feel like its not a surprise anymore, but...

Nate and I are having a BABY!!!!

I am 18 weeks today, and for those of you that hate when people go by weeks like I used to, I will translate. I am 4ish months and almost half way!!!!

We find out Monday (If the baby cooperates) whether it is a boy or a girl. Any guesses? Whoever guesses correctly gets to babysit!!!! haha

The baby is due May 6th (the day before my birthday) If you realized how much I covet my birthmonth, you would understand what a compromise this is going to be for me. But I guess this is just the beginning of the MANY sacrifices that come along with being a parent. My family thinks this is hilarious.

Anyways, we are really excited!

Serious Blog Neglect!

I'm so bad!!! I have serious blog neglect. It all started when our computer got a virus!!! I just feel like its hard to trust my computer again. I felt so betrayed that it crashed on me. Now I have gotten into such a habit of not going on the computer, that I started to neglect my blog.
I'm going to start being better.

Why you shouldn't give people your passwords

Though I really do think my friend Rachel is awesome, do not let her deceive you to think that I wrote that blog about her. I gave her my password because I don't understand how to add cool stuff to my blog, and when I checked my blog later that day I found the below post about how much I love my friend Rachel. It cracked me up, but now I have to figure out a way to get her back. hahaha! Beware Rachel Foulger....

My Dear Friend Rachel

I know this seems kind of obsessive and stalkerish, but I just wanted to give my dear friend Rachel a shout out. I LOVE this girl. She is my best friend. She is so talented and funny and I want to be just like her. I hope one day I will be. Anyway, I love you Rachel!
